Hello, yesterday I have created a new website and I need traffic also backlink. My another website have daily 5K traffic, Can I Place my new website link (********) on Menu/Header as a backlink and promotion.
What you think ? I need your advice

If I place a single link on menu or as advertisement through banner then It will generate at-least 1k backlinks

Thanks in advance and sorry for bad english

Are both of these domains on the same hosting? Are they both in the same niche? If they’re not in the same niche, personally I wouldn’t bother.

Yes Brother, Niche is same but Hosted on different vps.

BHW system automatically replaced the word from d0f0ll0w to (********)

you're good to go as long as both websites are decently made & not penalized,
you don't want to link to spammy website from your already ranking website, even if both are yours, doesn't make a difference,
i would normally go for a homepage link while adding a small pargraph to make the link contextual but header link can do the work as well

Ok thanks to all of u brothers.
Now I decided to put a single link on homepage (through php include once functions).
But I need to transfer traffic from ranked site to new site through banner link.
Can I do that via a short link like bitly shorten url.

Example - I will make a short link of my new website through bitly and I will place it on my ranked website through a banner link. I will show a banner on every posts.

Is it a good idea ? can google track original traffic source, I mean traffic are coming from my ranked site through bitly short link. Can this method harm (negative impact) on my new website or old website.

I try to explain clearly, I hope U guys understand my english.

google bots will follow the redirect, so yes it's trackable,
bit.ly is not a really clean domain, many are using it for different type of spam, i wouldn't do that,
you can add the link into the header, it won't really be a "problem"

Don't bother. Nobody will click a banner on your site to go to another site. It will definitely hurt your one or both sites.

Also, don't put external links in the main menu. That's a big no from SEO perspective.

The best you can do is put normal links inside posts with interesting call to action. Offer something valuable through these links. And of course the links should be no follow.

You can add the contextual link from the homepage of your old website. It won't affect both the websites until the link placement make sense.

If you want to transfer the traffic from old site to new site, why can't you do permanent 301 redirect?

Given your site's daily traffic by adding a single link in the menu or header or use a banner ad can help to improve your backlinks count this is because many visitors will see and click the link and they might share it further.

Yes, adding your new website's link to the menu/header of your existing site with 5K daily traffic is a good idea. It will help generate traffic and provide a valuable backlink make sure the link is relevant.

To place a link on your existing website’s menu/header, it’s important to consider the context and user experience. If the link is relevant and adds value to your users, it’s a good idea. However, If you think it will automatically generate thousands of backlinks where the quality matters more than quantity. So, focus on organic growth and natural connections, and your new site will benefit in the long run.
