So, it’s really late but i just can’t stop thinking about it.
Me and a friend of mine that has a 260k IG fanpage of a rapper, decided that we would like to start a clothing brand.
This evening i talked about this project, with my other business partner (from another project) that is actually far more experienced than me and he told me that we should really contact the artist and get him “involved”, meaning, asking him the permission.
My question is, as a FANPAGE, can we monetize the page selling products without violating any copyright/trademark law without problems? Or are we going to get fucked up by the artist because we’re basically using a fanpage about HIM as a marketing tool?
I think it’s important to note that this rapper follows my friend’s page and sometimes he also leaves a like or two, his page is also the biggest one in his niche.
This project didn’t really start because of some problems but it’s something that we would really like to start.
