Can I make Child Theme from downloaded Premium Theme?

Please can you give me some directions?
I give you some likes here on forum for it.
Theme is Newspaper 8.6 no idea what to add in functions.php.

In your WP dashboard, go to plugins, add new, type child theme, you're welcome.

creating a child theme is pretty simple. You should almost always have a child theme, especially when you'e using a purchased theme. Any kind of theme updates will overwrite your customizations.
