Spend 20 bux for 4 gigs on fiver of people giving video reviews of your product. Write 4 scripts of what you want them to say and send it over before the gig is started. Low priced reviews. If your worried about the FTC guidelines, send them the product and have them review it that way.

Yes, it certainly is in the US and the UK. I believe in Canada, also. I don't know about the EU but I believe they have the same laws.

New FTC laws say you cant. just go to fiver and hire someone to do it, that way at least you did not do it...just google..........ftc laws on testimonials

I think the best route is to give your product away for free in exchange for testimonials. Tell them you are just getting started and you are looking for some feedback. People like trying the "new", "hot" thing.

You get 3 things from this:

1. A testimonial
2. Feedback on your product
3. An excited customer who will tell other people in their local network.

Im gonna have to agree with alot of the posts here. Making up testimonials is technically illegal now. Free reviews is the way to go to get quality reviews. Or use Fiverr!

I agree with MRLeviathan. There's a thread around here somewhere of someone getting a "celebrity" to endorse their e-book. The trick was to basically really do a ton of research and make the e-book look very credible. The celeb OK'ed it, complimented the book, and the author was off and running.

I wouldn't recommend using those companies that sell video testimonials. They use the same people that are on Fiverr. They're acting as middlemen with a big markup. Just go straight to the source.
