I'm trying to promote a cj offer and want to hide my aff link. Will tinyurl be able to do this? Or should i use something else? I will be putting the link in an auto responder email.

I typed it in, but it still shows my aff code at the end of the url...

try it. tinyurl is about the easiest thing to use, ever. yes it hides the affiliate link.

You mean it's showing the aff. link in the address bar? Yes, it does that. Only thing TinyURL does is cloak it until one clicks on it. But most times people don't look at the address bar.

Probably your best bet is to get a domain.

Tiny url will not mask your domain name. Best bet buy a cheap .info domain forward it and apply the masking option.

I just used tinyurl on a clk bank hoplink and when I tried to post it on craigslist it said it violated their terms of service. .....

Personally I think tiny anything stinks.

If you want to do this marketing thing properly then do it properly. Don't waste your time with cheapskate methods that are iffy with this and iffy with that. Get the method which ALWAYS WORKS with everyone and everything. Do THIS

1. By a domain name - cost Max. $9.00 for a .com for a year
2. Get a hosting account at hostgator for, like, $5.00 amonth ($60.00 a year
3. Get a Top Grade Cloaker , like Samurai Stealth Cloaker, from me (see below - cost - free !) and install it on your server account at hostgator
4. Make unlimited affiliate links, cloak them so no-one, not even the pope, can fuck with them (and you can transfer the whole lot easy az too !)

For a total sum of $69.00 MAX you are in business for a whole year.

You can add unlimited subdomains, host unlimited domains on the one hosting account, and cloak the living shit out of every affiliate link you will ever have and NEVER have your affiliate ID exposed to your custiomers

Now - as for the cloaker - here it is - is on my site so don't go crazy or the big gator will have to have words with me for letting alkl you hackers in on the secret location (LOL)

Code:
http://e-bizmentor.com/samurai_stealth_cloaker/Samurai stealth cloaker.zip

Now, Realise that, as I am givin' this to you all for free I DO NOT expect to have to answer all your queries about installs and shit. It comes complete with the manual so if you want to know anything it should be in there.

If you want support then BUY THE FRICKIN THING - Like I did, years ago - and GET SUPPORT

The sales page is here:

Code:
http://samuraistealthcloaker.com

Sorry for bein' a bit grumpy but I hate laziness and tardiness -

My Motto -

If your gonna do a thing then DO IT PROPERLY !

Regards and I hope this helps out the person who started this thread

i've noticed more 'popular' sites seem to scan with the popular services like TinyURL, and Bit.ly to see if your unmasked links are blacklisted... gets annoying

i like offto.net best but i just iframe the whole aff page so it's not recognizable as an iframe in my own html or php page or blog!

Of course it will work :) (but not on adwords. still trying to figure that out)

Bit tougher nut to crack.

They stopped allowing redirects about a year ago.

You probably need to register a domain cloak the site (there's a human review process for Adwords).

You could also try loading the site in an iFrame - but I believe this is one of the things the human reviewers check for.

(p.s. - Keith's got the right idea with the cloakers)

I used tinyurl but now im going with keith methode, sounds nice.

guys just use offto.net for your aff links or cloak'em yourself tinyurl is not so specific and on offto.net you can stop peeps who go to your affiliate page from being sidetracked as you can get rid of the affiliates link on any sales page :)

>> get rid of the affiliates link on any sales page

any other offer this feature as offto ?

Well on cj it wont count clicks if they come from other domain

well tinyurl doesnt offer anything like that is offto.net the only and unique one that does that?

>> Well on cj it wont count clicks if they come from other domain

not true.

one thing i am not sure is the click data seems to be inflated by bot visit as well, right ??

what are you taking about, offto.net or commission junction???

oh cool i don't know much about them why do you want to cloak cj links?
