When creating content, I always tend to go ALL-IN for Skycrapper posts (if the main keywords are too competitive).

That's what I'm doing right now... But I faced a wall.

A legal one.

Because I'm pretty respectful about this kind of situations, I need to know this before continuing:

1) Is it good to take an Image or Illustration from another site, and then link externally to the site or article where I took it (giving credits)?

2) Same thing with Infographics - 99% of times they have watermarks everywhere... So I guess that + link would be enough justification to use it on an Informative piece?

Hell, I would highly-appreciate an answer to this.

I know many of you have a lot of experience with it and understand the problem that it could represent!

Unless you get permission or bought the image, don't do it.
Agreed, likely consequences will be way worse than profit. Look for alternatives, if possible, try creating visual content yourself. If it's something simple, might be your unique brand attribute.
