Can I delete folders and file marked -old in wordpress? See pic

In my cPanel -> File manager I have these files like in the picture below:



So you see those 3 Folders? They are empty. And that file there has this inside of it:


And by the way, the other index.php has the exact same thing in it...

So my question is, if I delete those 3 empty folders and that 1 file - All the ones marked "OLD," is it okay? Like, it won't cause any problems on my website if I delete those, right?

Seems like an upgrade that wasn't exactly completely cleaned up. There is no cause to keep those files on hand, so yes you can delete them if you want to ... don't delete any of the files that don't have the .old as an extension as they are part of your current wordpress installation.

Save them to your computer, delete them and see if it effects anything. If your site does not function correctly, put them back. My guess is that they are backup files from edits, so you should be fine.
