Let's say I create a plumbing website and I want to create 40 pages for 40 different locations (plumbing in {city}).
Is it okay to create all of them in less than a week? (obviously every page will have unique text and not copy pasted or simply AI generated).
Just hope google won't think i'm doing something wrong.

Thanks !!

No problems at all.

Yes, you can create it. Make sure the content is unique and optimized for that city search intent. Dont make it as thin content, Keep it informative.

Well, I have an older friend of mine that has a side-hustle company in the USA that uses the same technique (without AI) for over 15 years. They are providing a service, and they have a page for every state and city in the USA + every service type. They have 4000+ pages indexed. They were earning more than $30k/month back in time.

They were getting crazy traffic and their sales were very good until google knocked their door down with a hammer this year.

Their pages didn't get deindexed but their ranks dropped, most pages that were ranking #1 now rank ~#15 or so. They checked the source of the problem with a professional and found out that their content had a lot of in-site duplicates and the pages had very thin content. The pages also didn't provide any valuable information so they got outranked by simple blog articles even for keywords like "x service in Maryland".

They started to enrich their pages with AI content and I heard that their business is slowly recovering. AI content definitely worked for them when it comes to reclaiming their ranks. And since they use a little bit more complex AI prompts for their articles, the output is not accidentally duplicated. And giving valuable information throughout the page was the key point for them in this survival journey, as they say.

Just make sure that your call-to-action section does not repeat itself on every page if you have a long and static one. I believe AI content would work like a charm for your case.

Thanks for the great reply!

You're ok doing this but you might see the following:

- large number of pages not indexed in GSC

- ranking for some pages start good but drop after a little time

I think this is normal for new content when you publish a lot of pages all at once.

Time will help with both.

out of curiosity, how can you make 4000+ unique CTAs using the same several / dozen words? I don't think that's possible, so probably that adding more content helped your friend recover...

Uniqueness is a real challenge, yes. But a short CTA section would never be a problem in the first place. After all, all websites have in-site duplicate content at some point.

I have seen some long CTA sections that may be detected as duplicates and harm your rankings. Having thousands of them are definitely problematic.

So, placing a text like:

"Need a Reliable Plumber? ️ Don't Let Plumbing Issues Ruin Your Day! Contact Us Now for Expert Plumbing Services and Get a FREE Quote! [Call Now/Book Online]"

Would never hurt. That's short enough. But having one or two long paragraphs duplicated over every page is not good.

The best solution would be having shorter static CTA sections. The content itself is the best motivation for an Action, after all. Just call people to action within the content and let people take action with a small (in terms of cta content length) CTA section.

Another solution could be writing the CTA section content with AI. You can have unique CTA section content on every page doing so. But I believe that's a little bit overkill for most cases.
