How do you prompt in a way that delivers quality papers?

I suppose you have to give comprehensive directions, and gradually, in order to achieve some results.
For example, you cannot just ask gpt to write a phd thesis about photosynthesis, but you have to ask essential questions about the process, analyze new theories or develop new ones, etc. After that, take the results and rewrite them with your own words.

soo.... I can't become an academic in 2 mins? Damn

It cannot give me papers and anything reasonable on topic of "youtube watching and comparing different videos".

When I feed it a paper, it cannot accurately analyze and reason about it.
I'll have to become a researcher on my own. :(

I paid $20 for gtp4o(omniscient) and it's down since an hour!

What the hell is that!

So I can't get a private scientist at 20 bucks?! WHAT?!!!

Edit

If I am doing a research of science papers and I'm not a scientist, then what I'm doing is called "pseudo-science"? :suspicious:

Or am I a paperologist?

Smart students might already be putting chatgpt to full potential. But completing phd only with chatgpt is currently not possible according to me.

If AI was so great, it would build researchers.

But in fact researchers build AI.

So our AI isn't that great. :(

PhD programs require original research, critical thinking, and the ability to defend your work. GPT is a tool to enhance your research, not replace it.

PhD is about specific mastery of an area of subtopic within that field, and writing research paper during it is to explain arguments and perspectives in the academic debate. AI tools can pretend to do all this by appropriate training but pretending to do something and doing something are different things. After some more advancements in AI, it would be easier to argument that AI can do what a PhD scholar do but in actual AI will be doing what it is instructed to do.

If you instruct AI to provide arguments in proving a theory "Correct" then it will try to do so with the available data that supports it, and if you ask it to provide arguments to prove the theory "Wrong" then it will try to do that too with the data which is against it. But if you ask what is actually "true" then it will provide arguments for both, as it also cannot decide about something that has supporting proofs for both. And it will do like this as it is generically trained so. If AI is trained to get biased towards a side then it will do that. So you are getting the output that you want from it.

You will still need to rewrite the content as it will be screaming it'sade by A.I.

It depends on which topic you want chatgpt to do PhD in by the you can try by providing some information about the topic to chatgpt an see if it works.
