I typed the title of this thread into google and was surprised not to find an answer.

I am setting up a site with maybe 50 articles on it. All of these articles are in the same 1 niche so they'll all be related to each other.
What i was going to do was say take a snippet of text from article no.1 and create a video of this snippet and put this video into article no.2 (if you follow me) Therefore each article on my website will have a video which will contain a snippet of text (forming the content for that video) from another article.
So all 50 articles will have a short video but the text in each video will be regurgitating some of the info from another article.
I believe having 50 articles is good, but having 50 articles with video is even better.

What i want to know is will google be able to read the text on my videos and see that each video is simply using text thats available elsewhere in my site in the content of some article? ...and thus falling foul of the duplicate content penality??

Thats what i thought and was so surprised.

But do you think the strategy i've outlined above is safe? I'mguessing that google will in time be able to read text in videos. Maybe i'm being paranoid ...what do people think?

I think it's a great idea. It's useful to your visitors because they have the option of either visual or textual based information and at the same time it helps you with SEO.

Make the video's decent and I don't think Google will have a problem with it even if they are able to read video text in the future.

Reading text from bitmaps isnt hard, so I think they have such tool, not sure if its implemented.

They can, but the question is do they. Mainly the question is... why would they waste that much bandwith on something so unimportant?

nope.,
they dont even they dont read text in pictures. as mentioned my matt cutt
