Can Google pick up on Virtual machines/ prepaid cards?

Hello All,

I've been running grey hat campaigns on Adwords for about 6 months now with no issue, they even put the spending limit unto £500 . I was using a VPS and a UK prepaid card, then the account was suspended suddenly. So I created a new one with new details and domain, but they're saying they don't accept prepaid all of a sudden? Is there a way around this anyone knows of?

It said it was for "circumventing ". Not sure why as what I was advertising doesn't break t's and c's as far as I'm aware. And I only had that one account, not multiple.
 
Okey maybe VPS IP got blacklisted with an adwords update that's why you have been banned for circumventing.

If it's your ads most likely it's a misrepresentation banned.

Ip was datacenter or residential IP ? It was a residential OS vps ? :)
 
It was a datacenter. I might try a different vps provider maybe. Thanks !

It can be a lot of thing but I'm trying to guess that it's the IP address most likely. You want to create real adwords account spending or tresholds accounts now ? No problem :)
 
There is no way of knowing how far Google's reach is but as far as I know pre-paid cards won't trick them or Bing anymore. I don't do blackhat PPC, though, but from the complaining I've read about here the past months I'd say they're better than ever at seeing through bullshit.

Top thing that comes to mind is that the bin code for a pre-paid card that was entered was banned. It could be a pre-paid card entered in six months ago. They likely have algorithms that take many factors into consideration and if you're high risk then they just ban. They don't need any proof of wrongdoing. Using pre-paid cards and VPS seems very suspicious to me.
 
They should be able to identify the prepaid cards by the number ranges. I haven't done too much research on this but here's a link which might be useful for you.

@Gogol yes , thanks for that. I’ve tried again with a different card and it’s under review so we will see!
 
The answer is big "YES". Google can easily identify virtual machine and prepaid card.
 
Most merchant and payment providers including google know to prevent high risk abuse from prepaid card. And most transaction using prepaid card (VCC) lead to abuse.
 
Think they are going to stops ads from VPS. I had few accounts which are approved but they are still in review when talking to Google Support
