Lately I've been getting more and more anxious every day, I'm waking up at 14:00 every day, working until 4:00 a.m., I'm still a mess during the day, and I've stopped drinking coffee at lunch every day in favor of a functional drink.

But my coworker told me this can cause kidney failure and she suggested I drink herbal medicine

I think your living time goes against the human biological clock. To protect your health, you most need to sleep on time and get enough sleep. Working with high intensity, staying up late and not sleeping at all. Getting enough sleep and drinking carbonated drinks that contain many stimulants can easily lead to kidney failure. It's not because you use functional foods like you said. Wishing you good health.

Switching to functional drinks may affect your health if overused; consider consulting a healthcare professional for advice on a balanced routine and safe herbal remedies

Like Red Bull.
If you keep it up for 10-20 years it will definitely do damage to your body either way, also the sleep schedule. Do you have any plans to improve your lifestyle?

I drink both coffee and a few energy drinks per week and want to stop at least the red bulls. Coffee and green tea is fine by me (in moderation).

A classic twisted problems caused by misunderstanding of how things work.

Oversimplification is the first thing we can see. Attributing kidney failure, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and overall well-being solely to the cessation of coffee drinking or drinking some legal substances that are rather well-researched is a little bit like masking everything with a smokescreen.

Working for 8, 12 or 16 hours on things without deeper meaning is the core reason of such problems. This is dark ages way of thinking. We're living in the age of informatics, but those systems are understood only by a certain part of society.

I would consider changing my life completely and start seeing a therapist who will help deal with basic errors in thinking.

Caffeine is a nootropic substance and it doesn't cause visible harm unless you're ingesting massive amounts without tolerance, like 1000 mg at once. Although it depends on a person.

It can make one feel uncomfortable if they suffer from mental health problems which is very common if one is fooling people with ads and copywriting for the living spending 10 hours a day on it. Or any amount of time and living in non-self-reflective way, but instinctive and egocentric.

Marketing and sales circles are very clannish and so, people will reinforce that belief that what they're doing is right because there is that clan that supports that belief. But it's just a group that performs a group rationalization.

All in all, one of the solutions is to change a job and start doing in life to DO Nothing and still be able to thrive.

I know 1000 excuses to not do so. But I am not life and it's not me that will give anyone cancer and a heart attack. And no, it's not caffeine giving heart attacks, but excessive stress, outdated ways of working and not understanding one's needs to heal themselves cause a doctor is only a helper and provides guidance if a patient is willing and open to accept help.

These are symptoms of "burnout" which in marketing and sales start after a few months of work. Free money, huh. You see how free it is. ;) If you can't do marketing / business without touching anything, simply don't do anything and think hard enough until you understand how to find real passion and work for fulfillment, greatness, not money. People go through homelesness, get kicked out multiple times until they learn how it works. You can't f*k with life, because it will not cooperate with you and it'll crush you taking you to grave.

Not saying it causes kidney failure, but it does appear to reduce kidney function. Certain medication will exacerbate it
"Rat" as in "corporate rat"?

Learn about science. Start with "extrapolation". Rats do not weight 100 kg and don't have human regulation mechanisms. They can't heal in the same way. They are not understood by us well enough. Most studies are done for resarch purpose and not to make conclusions and learn from them. Science contains a lot of business within itself as researchers are people and they need to survive, so they do studies to get money, not to make people understand the world. A lot different approaches. To understand the world you can watch Andrew Huberman podcasts.

Rats might be used to test some virus.

If you're using spiders to test effects of a substance and then you transfer those effects on humans, you make tons of mistakes.

Human studies that are done by observation cause humans ingest everything anyways are something to look into. And what do they reveal? That everyone reacts differently, so using studies to understand reality that operate on averages, means and their goal isn't providing truth, is counterproductive.

Consider reading about certain side effects and understand how it correlates with what you are doing on daily basis.

Caffeine is a molecule that if ingested on daily basis, reduces its side effects. If you consume large amounts of caffeine on random occasions, it can be more harmful than ingesting caffeine everyday. It might be related to resistance / tolerance. Addicts / people using a certain substance can tolerate a lot more.

Caffeine is not known to cause any serious problems in healthy individuals. Even people after a heart attack are drinking caffeinated beverages and it doesn't seem to influence them in a negative way. So why did they get a heart attack? Usually it's decades of doing meaningless work for hours a day, living in negative states of mind, emotions; decreasing consciousness; becoming miserable; masking things with falsehood, friendships, hookups; drinking alcohol (strong cancerogenic substance); smoking tobacco (use nicotine sparingly in form of a nootropic); living in stress; not attending self-help circles to find one's approach to life; following groupthink crowds that confirm bias; not meeting with more developed; living here and now seeing through a lens of "self" being an effect of one's environment; not seeing the big image and not tuning one's life to it; creating mindless conspiracy theories and using their conclusions as facts (shadow problems / anger issues).

Caffeine can be used everyday as long as you take care of your health and do not use sugar in conjuction with it. Eliminate sugar although sometimes sugar can be helpful if you are hungry. However, if you have to consume sugar, it might be an indicator you're not truly satisfied with whatever you're doing. Consider tuning your life and learn to control environment more. Then find typical turbo - consumerism fallacies in your life, so you can reduce them to the minimum.

One of those fallacies is that people want to use caffeine, but they use drinks from a store. What they can do instead is buying "caffeine pills" that provide from 100 to 200 mg of caffeine a pill. What's important, you can buy either pills or capsules. If you buy capsules, it'll be a lot harder to control dose and you might be forced to open a capsule, put powder outside of it and then use powder. However, that doesn't make much sense and it's better to buy hard caffeine pills that you can split.

There's also another way of doing caffeine which is practicing "caffeine powder", however here you need to be careful because you need "scale" and use your eyes to measure the amount of powder is equal to chemical suicide. Because at work you might be tired, you might want to quickly ingest caffeine and so if it's powder, you might grab a too much and it'll cause worries.

Caffeine requires a person to be able to control their own emotions and understand that we don't know much about reality and so a person using caffeine needs to understand all our anxiety stems from our thoughts. Reducing that tension in thoughts and increasing general consciousness, then wisdom in life lead to noticable changes both in one's behavior and reactions of nervous system to a certain external stimuli.

I drank redbull, monster like for 9-10 years years and what not you dont really want know. Nothing will happen with redbull. Don't drink like 5-10 at a time. You will be alright.
I drank it not to function, by the way, but for recreation, like most do, over the weekend.
And o one last thing, you got 2 of them for a reason, so dont worry bout it!

You are like me, well till a few years ago. For 2-3 decades, I slept around 5 am, up by 2pm. As long as you get a GOOD sleep, clear your bowels regularly, rest all is pure B*** S***. All this Circadian things is useless. Our body easily adapts to whatever routine we set. Drinking 2-3 cups of coffee/tea is okay, avoid soda, it has nothing other than calories.

I have a suggestion: work till 3 am, hit bed. 3:15-3:45 is the time where you get the "Best Sleep". If you hit this sweet spot, you can even get up by 11, fully refreshed.

P.S
Advises are given by those who have never experienced themselves.

Bro stop pretending to be an expert on absolutely everything under the sun all the time just to try to condescend everyone.

I am well aware that humans are not rats  The reason they use rats and mice for studies is because of metabolic similiarities to humans and because using more ‘huggable’ animals or humans for basic testing will result in ‘outcries’ against nature and humanity.

The ingredients in red bull, even the sugar free variant are generally not well tolerated in the long run. In this case, there are lots of human based studies as a testimony of this too. And it’s side effects have resulted in everything from brain bleed to exacerbation of medical conditions or side effects of medication like metformin.

It's not an expert speech. It's your perception of text I posted and parameters of this text are that it stands out in the crowd of blackhatworld as it's longer than a typical text. I am not pretending to be anyone as I don't need to pretend as I practice authenticity which might be misinterpret as something else due to language barriers and flaws of constructions cultures have created within societies.

Why wouldn't you want to have a black belt in understanding life as a whole? That's what I perceive as "fear based decisions" and "trying to fit in one's culture" or more like "blackhatworld subculture that generally takes massive shortcuts to make quick revenue, ending up in a job and massive misery as there are 100s of errors in their thinking".

To exercise, go to a university and put a line like that in front of people. This can be a humbling experience if you apply the lessons from that.

Using categories such as "experts" to ironically highlight someone's misunderstanding is clearly imbalanced and it's distraction. Responding to a discussant in such a way is counterproductive as usually it is with basic errors.

There are many sub-industries and coca-cola is involved in it as well. They'll do everything to bend perception of people. There are traps set within all those studies and coca-cola might fund research of red bull and research ingredients making errors more or less consciously. Red bull might study coca-cola's ingredients and then there's a crowd that believes that this is the ultimate poison.

Posting a screenshot like posted above under a legitimate question of a worried person indicates there's not enough understanding to make any useful conclusions.

All of this has nothing to do with proper meta-analyses and seeing errors, traps, bias in studies. It doesn't give you any connection with life as a whole and it doesn't help you find solutions. It only tells you detailed facts about analogies that are most likely false on multiple levels.

It's a pro-isolation culture. People take a little bit of something, create a weak analogy and then they conclude "this is how the reality works". The reality is beyond comprehension and acknowledging there are some experts is only fooling oneself and making false hopes that we truly understand something. This cannot be accepted.

"expert" is not "truth seeker" - it's a person that can be influenced by corporate interests, a person that might not have enough expertise to understand there's no such thing as "full understanding", a person that is young and got a well-paid position that helped them start earning "big money" in "big industry" and it did hinder certain problems.
I am well aware that humans are not rats  The reason they use rats and mice for studies is because of metabolic similiarities to humans and because using more ‘huggable’ animals or humans for basic testing will result in ‘outcries’ against nature and humanity.
A very basic method of research and it's like "ah, we've got a solution and an answer to every question about us, we only need rats". Seeing things by surveying humans and observing them gives better results any day of the week. According to such methods I'd be dead 100s of times. In fact we don't know what is existence. It's too linear thinking to be useful in my opinion.

Functional drinks, especially those high in sugar, caffeine, or certain additives, could potentially contribute to kidney issues if consumed excessively over time. However, causing kidney failure directly is rare and usually involves other underlying health factors. It's important to consume these drinks in moderation and maintain a balanced diet to minimize any potential risks.

My man reaaski, there was a time when I wouldn't read each of your post's messages seriously, I just finished reading your message and you realized that you are really a practical and intelligent person.

I spoke to my partner on the phone at 2am last night and told him about my recent state of affairs, it is true that I am now only aiming to make a profit of $1,000 a day, which I accomplished, and this is limiting me and starting to make me restless. Letting me float.

I decided to get my head down and delve into the business instead of being satisfied with my current earnings

Amazing how quickly you can answer in good faith what it took me a month to figure out, thanks.

I don't know about kidney
but 2x zero sugar drinks / day like monster are increasing my sugar blood levels by 30% even there is no sugar inside
Studies says, caffeine in these drinks can do that.

Before trying to mock me for posting a screenshot, which was just one, of thousands of potential options citing evidence that has basically been proclaiming year after year about the deletrious effect of energy drinks, consider you said this:

If you're using spiders to test effects of a substance and then you transfer those effects on humans, you make tons of mistakes.

This alone demonstrates that you have zero idea what the hell you are even talking about at all here. Tell me how many counterpart genes spiders even have that would allow cross-analysis.

Rats have a counterpart for basically every disease-linked gene in humans. Hence researchers can gain an insight and understanding of any chemicals effects on humans too.
This is the toxicology of a chemical’s effect up on rats forms a susbtantial part of LD50s listed in PubChem. How many on their can you see being tested up on Spiders? But of course the great Reeaski knows better than the National Library of Medicine. He also knows more about Economics than Central Banks and Computer Science than CERN.

The statement quoted is valid from a big image perspective. It's invalid from a narrow perspective.
You can invalidate any statement if you pick a specific perspective. Or validate any statement if you pick a broader perspective.

Computer Science than CERN - it's invented by minds that were invented.
Economics than Central Banks - it's invented by minds that were invented.
Minds are sneaky as this thread shows. Thoughts lead people to dark places. Analysis is cutting reality into billions of pieces using billions of tools / assumptions. All of this contains plenty of errors.

I am not talking about narrow views, but absolutism which is beyond comprehensions of 99.5% of people on daily basis. Maybe they get glimpses of absolutism when they go to sleep.
