I have an e-commerce website and a bug that i need to fix. All fiverr sellers are asking for admin access and no one wants to work via any desk. Im afraid they inject code and in the future access the website and change payment settings to redirect my order payments to themselves.
Can fiverr sellers inject malicious code?

yes. Don't know what the solution is except use chatgpt or another ai. I find there isn't much in the way of screenshots they can't help you with....
I would always prefer this solution, as if you dont know what to look for or expect, your better until you can maybe even hire a proferssional, screw skiverr lol

Use a reputable seller...the person will be more focused on the job than infusing bugs I to your site

Yeah I wouldn't give anyone admin access too.
Just pay extra and you will find someone agreeing to do it on screen sharing

I once use a guy on Fiveer to optimise speed on one of my sites. My sites were filled with all kinds of nasty content with backlinks. But luckily I don't host payment gateways on WP. I use a 3rd party tool like SPP. WP plugins are too easy for attacks imo especially if you are a solopreneur juggling things
Had to give him cpanel access. My whole server was filled with malware. Luckily my server admin cleared it within 24 hours and now we have scanners installed and also for my Wordpress sites I have Wpsheild

It's difficult to do coding without admin access as they should do a lot of testing. It may become tedious to keep asking you to edit one line after another. So, they might be right in asking admin access. But it's 100% possible that they can inject malware or plant a bug to steal your credentials or money later. If it's a small bug, you should try to resolve it yourself with the help of AI. If you hire someone, it's better to scan your site with a security plugin like wordfence.
