Can dropshipping be done outside US?

Hey all,

I am residing outside US and wanted to know whether i can start dropshipping outside US.

I want to target US customers and wanted to know how to process the payment from the customers and also send the payment to the distributor.

Also i am very much confused on what product should i dropship

Looking for someone who can give inputs regarding the same and guide me through the same.

Might be a JV would be great as i have good knowledge of developing ecommerce websites and doing SEO.

u can do dropship anywhere u want, as long as the dropshipper is willing to dropship internationally. if u confuse on what kind of product, why u ask urself, what kind of product would u buy online.that is more easy though

Of course you can.

You should contact the dropshipper and ask if they will ship to the country you are marketing to. Ask about shipping rates.

One problem that people face when they dropship items from a source that is outside the country of the purchase, is sometimes your parcel my collect customs fees that will be due by the received, something they may not be expected because they thought you were sending the item.

This can hurt your seller account if you sell on places like eBay, as people will leave negative feedback, or not bother to return to you in the future.

If you have no captical, I can understand why one would want to dropship, and they don't have to worry about having items that will not sell, but I will highly suggest that you buy some inventory. It's usually always cheaper, and you can offer shipping times for your customers.

Thanks for the insights. But wanted to know how to process payments when i am residing outside US and wanted to bill customers at US and also pay dropshipper who is in other country.
