Can developers win a dispute with google?

I have read many cases on the internet on forums etc.. about apps being suspended on google play.

we see that in some cases apps are restored, but usually it is because of intervention from some senior google staff.

What i wanted to ask is are any cases where an app has been suspended and then its been restored after taking legal action against google?

We know from several case studies that they sometimes make mistakes.

Yes they do make unintentional mistakes and restore apps. But they also deliberately take apps down from their store and unless you have an army of lawyers to fight your case, I don't see how you can get back in.

It's a private company where you're requesting your app to be listed.

So if you want it to remain there, you will have to play by their rules. Fighting with them can get really expensive(more than the earning potential sometimes) and is hence not recommended.

Actually, you can. Some of Google's employees are still reasonable.

One of my very old Apps was taken down for sexual content. The App is an SMS App and there is a category for "Sexy SMS".

Note that this App has been there for years.

I appealed the action. I simply explained that the App was accepted by Google and it has been there for years and that it seems odd to get suspended just like that.

The App was reinstated. But I was told to remove that category
