Can customs brokers clear seized shipments?

I buy a lot of shipments from dhgate and sell them on ebay. I haven't gotten any of my shipments seized yet, but I have a fear that they might get seized at some point.

If one of my shipments were to get seized, could I hire a customs broker to clear my shipment and still get it to my adress?

Should I hire a customs broker and have them take care of all my shipments?

if it's counterfeit or illegal no one can get them back, it has never been worthwhile to me using a customs broker. just another unneeded expense.

A broker will help you if there's a problem with the documentation, or something like that. The shipment must be legit, though. I had a few situations like that, and they let the shipment through within 24 hours usually, which was good as it was pretty urgent.
