As the titles says?
Can AI do that??
Can it replace teacher's at school and universities?

In the current moment of time no. There can be some useful tools for coders, but not writing complex software from top to bottom.
And definitely can't replace teachers in the nearest future. But there may be some useful tools with AI as well.
AI now isn't the intelligence in common meaning. This is the group of mathematical optimization methods. Nothing more.
 
Automated testing is and has been around for a while now but that isnt AI.
AI is a long way off being able to programme by itself but it is starting to make huge leaps forward in natural language processing which could then lead to self programming AI
 
I would say it depends... The human factor in software testing and structuring intent for software development is safe for now, but refactoring, code setting and exploit exposure/correcting may very well be handled better by an ML/AI black box. While the capability might seem inevitable, there will always be the truth that most "Structuring" and creative functions ( in which I would include teaching) are still cheaper and more efficient/effective to use humans. This will become more relative in the future I am sure.
 
Software testers have a very key role. It is absolutely important to understand AI isn’t a robot coming to take your job, but is a smart assistant instead. The software tester is still responsible for modelling the workflow that you have, and setting up the environment and tooling. They are just the ones reviewing the results and looking at the interface to provide recommendations from the systems and the feedback to the development team and to the business.

This will probably be possible in 10 years from now, AI has been evolving very fast in the last decade and will just reach amazing results during the next phone. Question is are we really prepared for what's about to come?
 
There’s tools here that help you write your own bots with 0 programming knowledge so I agree. But it’s long term, very long term.
 
LMAO we're yet to see AI producing nonsense-free translations or detecting automation/botting in at least 99.9% cases. Now there's no possibility to fully rely on AI when solving tasks as trivial as filtering spun content and other SEO tricks.
Even talking about AI replacing programmers is a joke at this point.

Some things related to testing or code generation are already automated but this is completely different.

What you are suggesting is that in the end there will be only bots dealing with bots, which would erase all human interaction.
Consider the profound implications this would have in our civilization at large.
 
I think no because current AI is based on machine learning, which is just a tool that works with already existing datasets to learn. Current AI is useless if there are no datasets to learn from.

AI wont replace programmers or teachers because they lack the creativity to code or those "aha" moments. Many people think that AI will somehow magically gain this self awareness but its simply not true and will never happen. NEVER.
 
Of course it will, the thing is when will it replace them? they say a general ai will be ready around the year 2040 (ai that can do everything and doesn't have to be trained for every little task).
 
That is not going to happen for at least another 50 years. Also, no AI is advanced enough to do exploratory testing, user satisfaction testing and other types of testing that involve human interaction with the product.
 
Not soon. It replace only repetitive jobs and creative one but its growing faster.
 
There is an AI called DABUS that filed for two patents for inventions it created. AI can already win people at chess,go and other games, AI predicts better, learns faster etc.

AI is currently created by programmers, so until we see AI self creating the answer is no
 
No, I'm doubtful that it ever will replace software developers.

Testing to some point yes, there are automated tests available today. They enter text, click on stuff etc. That's going to improve a lot.
 
it is not replace programmers..
but it replace tester very soon...

for example... you make a android app and now you want to test that app in 15k mobile phones available in market phone. then you need help of AI technology.
