Can anyone register to Taobao/1688 or only chinese could?

And if its possible to buy taobao/1688 account?

This would definitely include alipay, and Wangwang

You can register for an account Just have a phone number, but if you want to buy goods on 1688, you need a Chinese bank account, or through intermediary companies that specialize in buying goods for you.

Taobao has a large number of users and will develop further in the future, doing business on this is very effective.
 
I've heard it's tricky to buy those accounts outright, mostly because of the ID verification stuff they have in place. Is there a specific reason you're looking to buy instead of setting one up yourself?
 
Wouldn't that be risky? I'd be worried about the account getting banned and losing access to everything.

While it's technically possible for non-Chinese residents to register, Taobao/1688 registration often requires a Chinese ID and a local bank account for Alipay verification. Buying accounts is risky and likely violates their rules, potentially leading to account suspension.

Most Taobao/1688 accounts are tied to real ID + Alipay verification → high chance of reclaim or restrictions later.
Better approach: register your own or get a verified account through a trusted local/agent.
 
Anyone can register on Taobao, but it’s mainly built for China, so you may face issues with language, payment, and shipping.
