I want to run a few autoblogs on some sites on shared hosts so I guess WP Robot is out of the question. I need a desktop app that will let me suck down various content sources just like WP Robot, queue them up, spin them or rewrite and reformat them, and then queue them back up with scheduled posts to WordPress blogs.

Can anyone suggest a modern piece of software that does this?

From what I understand WP Robot (or any autoblogging platform for that matter) is too resource intensive to run on a shared host, it will get you suspended for resource utilization. I don't really feel like migrating these to vps or dedicated server right now, so I'd rather find a desktop app I can run once a week, process and queue everything up to post.

    Hello Darkmonk
I have WP Robot, bloghatter and autoblog Samurai and so I am standing on a comfortable ground to make this suggestion.

WPRobot is ultra powerful and can work tirelessly to fill your blog up. But it has the tendency to fill your blog with all sorts of junk. Therefore you need to constantly monitor the content it brings to you, especially if you set cron

Bloghatter is very good at posting your PLR articles littered all over your hard-disk. You can edit them first, add video and pictures which the software pulls in for you. It is good and easy.

Then you have Autobolg Samurai, which is the one I prefer. It pulls in articles, rss, PLR, pictures and images. Why I like this is that you have the opportunity to monitor everything that goes to your blog. It is dektop app, but can schedule 2 years worth of posts. Further, because it uses the rss feeds of other sites, your posts will always be relevant. All you do is update the feeds maybe once a week.

But then I use a combination of WPRobot and ABSamurai. I don't use Bloghatter a lot these days as ABSamurai has its function built in.

    I hope this helps.

Since you want a desktop solution, the best bet would be to create an XML/ RSS feed using desktop solution. Then feeding that custom RSS directly into each blog. This would be complex and way too time intensive.

why do you want to run it your computer? Our solution runs on "our" servers and it does just fine on all blogging platforms you can imagine.. not sure why you want a desktop softwares.. those thing's are from 2005 or something!

Sorry for the blatant advertising but i fail to realize why you want a desktop software. I'm sure you have better things to do with your time than run a software!
