Can anyone offer advice on my blogs?

I have two blogs just getting off the ground and want to start a third (with a better keyword and more potential). Could anyone give some feedback on how these are set up and how they look so that I can make the new blog the best it can be? Thanks.

Hey I looked at your sites and the content is great.
However they look somewhat empty and could use more links around the articles.
The general structure of the sites are good though and make the info look even more informative!
I would work more on fluffing them up before starting another blog site.
Stating to many could make you get spread out; focus on WH SEO and original Backlinks. Yahoo Answers is a good place to start!

Ok, ill try and be constructive as i can....These are terrible honestly you need to get a better theme, more colour, if your going to add adsense change the colours to be more inline with the rest of the site other wise it looks spammy. It needs to be layed out in a more orderley fashion. Get a banner or a logo designed on fiverr if you can't do it yourself. Make it more interactive and social. Use content that people are actually going to want to share with there facebook friends. Try and give it a brand...think outside the box. Take a look at other successful blogs in your niche and ask yourself why are they so damn good? When you have that answer do the same but 100x better. D

you need to have more color in your sites and more graphics...people like to look at photos...every blog posts should have one graphic...
 
You need to work a lot in these 2 blogs before you go for the third one.
You need a logo (a good one).
Excerpt need to be more detailed. Structure and widgets should be utilized to cover up the empty spaces.
Adding an image to each post and putting a thumbnail of it in the excerpt will work like a charm.
Don't go for more colors , its fine , once you put logo , and manage the structural widgets changes with ad banners , it will look perfecto...
 
Business Smack, I really like your site. I think the forum is a great idea for driving interaction. I agree with everyone that I need more color. I was told this was the best theme but Penguin probably ended most of the benefits of an SEO heavy theme anyway. Any suggestions for more visual, colorful themes?
 
Why not use a 300x250 size ads? There's certainly room for them.

why I can see the all posts in the first page ? and full posts ! I think that's wrong my friend ..
my advice for you ..
use jump breaks :) and instead of seeing the whole post, the visitor will see part of it, and if he is really interested in the post he will click on Read More, and if he is interested in that probaply one of google adsense ads will attract him and he will click on one of them :)
same to the other blog, but change the template ! I got lost when I opened that blog !!

You need color. Or, to say more specifically you need to have a theme. Though you have pretty good contents and I know contents are more important than themes. But you need one for sure.
 
I definitely agree that I need more color and a better look. I'm actually taking some good advice and adding a directory that will serve as the main function of the page. Any recommendations of a good directory I can use on WP to ad a state by state list of resources? Also, i changed the theme and I think this one looks a bit better. Any thoughts?
 
Hey starting to look better, I have my own forums and after reading some of these posts I am getting ready to go and make mines more splashy, I will post when finished, but good work so far.
 
Hey guys. I'm converting the home school programs info . com site into a directory of state by state resources. i have pages for each state and about links per for a total of 250 (still in progress). My hope is that the sites will appreciate the exposure and return a link to my site. Any thoughts on having so many outbound links? They are all real and relevant links to well ranked sites. Could this hurt my page or just be viewed as a resource site? I also updated to look much better than before.
