So, I recently come to know that you can analyze all your backlinks in Bing Webmaster and even compare them with your competitors' backlinks. It can be used to find backlink gaps and other useful metrics.

But, I was wondering if it is only showing the backlinks that are indexed by Bing search engine because I noticed that Ahrefs is showing my referring domain 600+, but the Bing webmaster is showing it somewhere 434.

Can anyone explain why that is? Is Bing Webmaster not showing the links that are not crawled by it? I think that makes the most sense.

Bing WMT only shows backlinks that its bot has crawled and indexed. It doesn’t have the same crawler depth as Ahrefs, so the total referring domains will always be lower there. Ahrefs scrapes way more aggressively, catches links that BingBot never touches. Use Bing more for indexing signals and Ahrefs/Semrush for full link profiles.

You're right — Bing Webmaster usually only shows backlinks that it has crawled and indexed. Tools like Ahrefs show more because they have broader crawler coverage. So if Bing shows fewer referring domains, it doesn’t mean those links don’t exist — just that Bing hasn’t indexed them yet. If you're ever auditing backlinks or need help boosting indexed links, I can help with that too.
