In case you are targeting the EU market and you are paying taxes offshore (which means zero)?

Maybe this sounds like a strange construction, but I prefer to be better safe than sorry.

As always all help is very appreciated and valuable. Also I am very willing to learn from people who have experiences in this field.

Thanks in advance!

If you are not doing anything illegal on the website I do not think they will take it down.

But as far as if they can yes of course. There are dozens of websites that have seized by this and that agency from france , germany, usa for doing illegal things.

governments have a lot of power over the Internet, and small players like us do not stand a chance whenever they come after us; this being said I do not think @Snowwhite007 needs to worry about that too much (yet).
just do legal clean stuff and you will be fine; most of us here are.

Again thanks for the fast reply! I guess you're right. Maybe I am just a little too paranoid :).

They can definitely do what they want, but they need a reason, so if you're illegally selling Black Market stuff you'll get shut down but if you're legally selling Ugly Christmas Sweaters you'll be fine.

I doubt you'll have any problems, you could always read the laws to be certain.

As long as you don't hurt a multi-million dollar industry badly (for example Kim Dotcom/Megaupload or many streaming websites, which got seized by the FBI/Homeland Security), you won't face big problems. Also keep in mind your domain provider and their tolerance and policies. Some will give you trouble because of a simple DMCA notice, others don't care at all.

Again, as long as you are not totally criminal (like hiring killers, making millions by selling drugs online etc.) they will not notice you and you won't be relevant for them.

A golden advice: Never forget how far you should go.

any person can report a domain to the domain provider , if anythink is found that not on there tos can get the domain shut down.

example some domains are not allowed to be used for business or adult services unless you ask .

it all domain register tos

As long as your site isn't anything highly illegal, noone will care. The much bigger problem is living in Europe but paying no taxes. You can get away with a fishy offshore solution, but if you start making some real money, you'll run into problems. Starts with tax evasion, next is money laundering and then you are just one small inattention away from jail. Worth it? Depends on taste, I don't think so.

Thanks for your detailed explanation. Worth thinking about it :).

But then you need to make hundreds of thousands of dollar in order to run into trouble with taxes etc. Nobody cares about "small fishes" - they are not even worth the work and not relevant. It comes down on how people are actually making this money. If someone is dealing with drugs and they are earning a fortune, they are a very easy target.

Had anyone from here had the problem that your domain was kicked or seized, because of illegal content or something else? Please get in touch with me if so.
