Can and Will Twitter Ghost You

So, I've been trying to get traffic to my site with twitter, I have 1500 followers (not much but enough) but I don't get any clicks.
I used bitly to shorten my links and used tweet deck to make them tweet during the day (24 tweets a day) but no clicks. Now I went and saw what is trending (currently #5wordsforyou) and tweeted a tweet with that #. But when I search for it it doesn't show up. My profile and my tweet don't show up.

Following people and hoping they follow me, just tried it, that still works. But I don't get any clicks nor do I see my tweetes when I search for them. Even when I put a # they don't appear, and I tweeted them less than a minute ago.

Twitter can ghost you, especially if the account is brand new, you search for your tweet and you see it, but if you log out and clear cookies you don't see your posts. It takes a while to develop reputation and show up in relevant searches and in popular timelines.

The account is over 6 months old. But I have once deleted over 80 tweets.
Should I delete it and create a new one? Can I make it from the same email without any trouble?

Since you posted a tweet with a trending hashtag, your tweet could be unable to been seen because of the amount of people are tweeting about it. I just honestly never seen or heard of a twitter account being ghosted till now

Yeah twitter does not ghost in this as per my experience. it will just dont allow you to do anything.
you are saying that your tweets aren't showing is your account email verified as that only happens in this case.

The best thing you can do is either join an RT trading group so your tweets can get RT'd/Fav'd or sign up for a service that will RT your tweets
