Can an automatic PBN sidebar maker still be useful in 2026?

I'm thinking about building a small tool that lets you manage sidebar links across PBN sites you own/manage.

Something like:

Add sites → Add target URLs/anchors → Set sidebar → Done.

But honestly, I’m wondering if it’s even worth building.

For those still using PBNs:

Would you actually use a tool like this? What feature would make it useful for you?

Or is this one of those ideas that sounds great at 2 AM and terrible the next morning?

honestly speaking it does make sense in case if u are handling more than a few webpages. for me personally, i would not mind giving up on all those cool features in favor of fast update for all webpages nd being able to locate links quickly nd accurattely.

I'd steer clear of PBN tools at this point- Google gotten really good at detecting footprint patterns
from automated sidebar setups and the risk of deindexing outweighs any time saved. Better to put that effort into manual, relevant link building instead.

This could be pretty useful for ppl managing a large number of PBNs. If the tool can handle bulk updates without making things complicated, I can say ppl will use it.

Could be useful if it saves repetitive work, especially with lots of sites. I’d care more about bulk editing and anchor control than fancy automation.

Yeah, I think it can still be useful if it saves time when managing lots of sites.

my concentration would be on the point that it may assist in the maintenance proces after the scaling proces is completed. managing changes, linking management nd finding out any stale links may prove to be more useful than sidebar.

Honestly, it's not a terrible 2 AM idea at all. Updating sidebar widgets across a large network is a massive time sink. Logging into dozens of different WordPress dashboards just to place one client link gets old fast.

A central dashboard to push and manage these links would save a ton of time, and I'd absolutely use it for my own link placements.

If you end up building it, the biggest feature to include is link rotation or randomization. You want to make sure the tool doesn't leave an obvious footprint across the whole network. Keep the interface simple and it'll definitely find an audience.
