Can a youtube channel be stolen?

Please move to the correct thread if this is the wrong one, i could not find where I can post this.

This question has bothered me for a while, I am currently working on building two youtube channels from the ground up and one of them is doing suprisingly well. I wanted to know that is there a possibility that the Youtube channel can be stolen to a point where it is not recoverable?

If you lose access to the origin email, you will lose your youtube channels.

definitely yes! take a good care of log in details and the devices you use to log in.

Damn, can't i do something like in a legal sense if the account gets taken over and becomes somewhat big someday? Does youtube not provide any support?
Also brb enabling all sorts of security measures.

What's your definition of "stolen"?

If by stolen you mean hacked, I'm pretty sure there are a number of steps you can take to recover it - https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/76187?hl=en

2FA is a great thing to have IMO. Also, I think it's a good habit to write down important stuff about your account somewhere safe. Like email (duh), password (duh), time/date of account creation (not sure if admins of the platform are able to see this, but it's worth a shot). Prevention is better than cure, after all.

It can't be stolen without your permission, I mean I lost my channel which was big, and you can't do anything about that if you are not a big player on youtube or know someone else.
But it's not like someone can just steal it if they want to.

I have seen some Twitch guys getting their accounts back after being hacked but it was for Twitch not Email.
I doubt you can do anything unless you know someone from Google personally.

Keep in mind you do not own your youtube channel... Google does. Just like Facebook in the past week lost 5 years of music files, they can also lose data, take the data or ban you. I always try to funnel "followers" to other channels.
