Ok foolishly I thought google can't read images and relies upon alt to "read" image.

I have used my business logo on a separate black hat website, could it lead to a penalty or anything of that nature?

But when I image searched my own logo, I was surprised to find my other website.

I don't know if I can explain better but really curious to know.

You could just change the Alt and image name(xxx.jpg) and you would be fine with it. Google can't read an image ofcourse unless you name them exactly the same in "Alt"

hmm, interesting. They have different file names and different alt. Thanks anyway.

no it can't lead to a penalty google google still relies on alt on name of the url of the image

Google can read images. They have OCR and can read images without alt tags or filename.

to be sure , go download a MD5 HASH Changer and rename the file as well and also the format like PNG to JPG
