I have keywordz "c-o-m" in the first page of G and i am thinking of registering the EMD with "co" extension and do a 301 redirect. Worth it ?

here an example of one of my works for a niche in my language (italian)
money site registered in .it ext.
registered .com .net .eu and setup 301 redirect to .it
after few high PR d0f0llow backlinks, the .it site is in #1 position in google.it

it helps but the better is 301 ,

then set is web master tools as new site , (that tells google its same owner) . (MUST)

A few high pr backlinks to 301 domains

Do you do linkpushing to those TLD domains in this case?
Treating them as first-tier buffer?

Not sure i would recommend a .co

I believe .com/.net/.org is still the standard.

It doesn't cost you a lot. If this niche is worth it - try it.

There was a guy who was trying to reach really competitive niche here.
Most of the domains on the 1st page was domains with .pl extension.
He tried to rank .me extension in Poland. He was doing 301 from a few domains and subdomains. Linking all domains/subdomains/BLs with XR/SB.

He got slapped from G. I guess he got reported by a fellow SEOz or manually reviewed. He actually got #1-#2 for this keyword for about a month. As a I said - it was really competitive keyword - like a "optimization" or "seo" .

Good Luck!
