I have a situation and would love some clarification:
  • BM A creates a Pixel.
  • BM A shares this Pixel with BM B (via "Add Partner" method), full control.
  • Now, can BM B share that Pixel further with BM C?
Based on what I understand, BM A could hire BM B to manage its overall marketing strategy and ads. BM B might then outsource part of the work, such as running ads, to BM C. So, BM B can re-share the assigned pixel to BM C.
Reason behind: The BM B don't want BM A know anything about BM C. He has responsibility of marketing result. No matter what he did. Running ads himself or hire another ads company or hire invidual ads freelancer.

But when I tried to re-share pixel to BM C, facebook just said: Oops, something wrong!

Has anyone experienced this situation before?

Facebook doesn’t permit re-sharing a Pixel beyond BM B, so only BM A can share it initially. You may need to explore alternative ways to handle this arrangement.

It looks like Facebook doesn’t allow sharing Pixels beyond one level, so BM B can’t directly share the Pixel with BM C. You might need to either add BM C as a partner within BM B’s account or set up a new Pixel for BM C to manage. The error is likely because Facebook wants to keep things transparent, which is why it’s not allowing this. Anyone else run into this? Would be great to hear how you handled it!

From what I know, only the original owner of the Pixel (BM A) can officially share it with other BMs. BM B can use it but can’t re-share it directly to BM C. That’s why you’re getting that error. It’s a common limitation with Facebook’s system.

I agree with your point of view above, you cannot directly share pixels from bm B to bmC, but you have to use the original bm A to share to C.

It seems this is a limitation in Facebook's system that only BM A has the right to share so you can add BM C to your BM B system to work

Facebook doesn't allow cross level sharing so it seems you can only put BM C into your BM B system to work

Facebook will not allow BM B to share further, that can only be done on BM A, who is the owner of that Pixel
.

BM shared Pixel only has the right to use, cannot be shared to other BM. Pixel is still under the control of the original BM. If a third party wants to use it, permission must be granted through the related assets, Pixel cannot be shared directly.

If BM A is the owner, only BM A has the right to share pixels. Facebook imposes this restriction to keep things transparent.

You cannot directly share pixels between two different Business Managers (BMs) (B to C). Instead, pixels must be shared from the originating BM (A) to the destination BM (C).

Facebook restricts re-sharing of Pixels outside of the secondary Business Manager (BM) (BM B). Therefore, only the parent BM (BM A) has permission to share the original Pixel. You may need to explore other methods to manage this structure.

The original bm can be shared with many partner bms. Here it can be said that it is a 1-to-many relationship. Partner bms can use pixels but cannot share them with other bms.

Facebook does not share such indirect shares.

You cannot do that. Only the BM that owns the Pixel has the right to share it with another BM. In reality, the owning BM only shares the permission to use the Pixel, not full ownership of it.

You cannot directly share pixels between two different BMs. Instead pixels must be shared from the original BM (A) to (C).

you can't do that sharing between BMs while your BM is the recipient of the sharing only in BM A who is the setter

this can not happen you can only share from bma to share to other BMs because this is BM that stores and creates original BMs

you can not do that then facebook does not support this, share pixel from BM A to C, i think it does not take too much time.
