    Hi fellow members,

Since now I have been browsing CPA and Money Making threads, dont know much about link building yet. I have a quick question.

I would like to build a website with .hu domain, targeting Hungarian people. I'll use Google Adsense Keyword Tool -> Local searches to find hungarian keywords.
I read the more backlinks your site has the better. My question is as follows:

    • If i wanted to rank #1 in Google.hu not Google.com, can I use english websites to link my hungarian site?

I'm considering buying linkbuilding service that offers 200 blog comment/pack and I am sure this will be carried out on sites using english language.

    • To put it more easy, can I rank my hungarian .hu domain in Google.hu if my site has backlinks from .com english sites only?

Thank you for your answers and help.
    Regards.

I am not 100% but I think the answer is yes.

If anyone interested, just found these in an old thread:

"Make sure your website IP is from the GEO target that you want to rank for and have the right domain extension. Have anchor keyword in THAT language you want to rank for as well. If you want to rank for the international google[.com] use English."

"As far as I'm concerned, the issue isn't so much the TLD (i.e. .com, .net, .co.uk, etc) but rather whether the page the link appears on is contextually relevant to the content of the page that is being linked to."

"but my sites are not in english they are written in foreign Language
so how they can be relevant,
to the content of the page that is being linked to.
does google bot translate the content ?

I cannot say for certain, but I think it is safe to say that links from sites that are in different languages, with the exception of sites that are actually ABOUT LANGUAGE, will not give you much of a boost. That said, you should experiment and find out."

So I'm back to square 1. Anyone having experience in ranking foreign (not english) sites mind sharing his/her opinion?

Backlinks are backlinks, just because its on an english website it doesn't mean that G00gle will ignore them. However they may have less juice as native language anchor text in native language articles, etc.. But for example I have ranked very thin sites in french to page 1 using only social bookmarks (that was about 1-2 months ago) and none of the bookmark platforms were .fr but my site is sitting around #4-#5 without much effort.

so yeah, its possible, its even easier to rank in Google.xyz than Google.com due to the lack of competition. As long as your own site content is in hungarian and your anchor text is in hungarian, it should be fine.

So when I order the backlinking service make sure the supplier will use hungarian anchor text (e.g. "budapesti étterem") instead of english anchor text "restaurants in budapest"
as I want to rank for the hungarian keyword "budapesti étterem" not the english "restaurants in budapest".
