Hey guys

Just what the title says really.

If the keyword phrase i am after is taken, can i then add a word before or after it or will this make the url too long for effective seo??

many thanks
tony

You can add "now" or something short like that after your phrase. I believe it doesnt matter one bit.

Search Engines are not stupid.

he's not suggesting that he's trying to outsmart a search engine.

OP, to answer your question. you CAN buy a domain with a small word before or after teh keyword phrase and it will still work for SEO. it will not work AS well as just the keyword phrase itself.

sometimes people put these words at the end of a domain:
now
review
reviews
scam
blog
site
x

the important thing is that when you build your site on this type of domain that you still make sure that you title the website/blog with the main keyword itself, and have all of your on page SEO, backend SEO, and backlinks use the keyword you're trying to rank for.

you know that this works because when you search for a phrase. google or whatever search engine will BOLD the keyword phrase in the URL if it's there. so even if the URL is not just the keyword phrase, they will still recognize the existence of the phrase within a larger URL.

thanks for the replys guys :) i didn't think it would matter that much but just wanted to double check :)

cheers
