Lets imagine I bought abc19901.com for one year. Upon expring when Im going to renew the domain, can my domain provider say this is a premium domain now u have to pay a lot?

I don't think they can. In order to do this, they have to have the domain registered for themselves afaik.
P.s. if you let it expire, it is not yours anymore. Then they can do anything they want.

They can't,
they actually have to mention the renewal price within your first payment,
you will have 45 days after the domain expiration to renew it,
if they do mention it as premium and raise the price, you can actually sue them

That is not how it usually works. Once you buy the domain its yours. Your renewal price will stay the same as per there terms. Now if you let the domain expire they could charge you at the higher rate if you tried to get it back.
