I have a legit service from a legit business (no affiliate/CPA staff) and I'm interested in using craigslist to advertise it in multiple cities. But given the black hat nature of craigslist posting, I'm concerned that craigslist might outright ban any ads with website or contact references to my business.

Is this a valid concern, or does craigslist just ban/ghost people based on their registration information (IP address, phone number, ect)?

Yes, if they catch on to this they will surely ban your accounts sooner or later. You have to find a way to change everything up, especially your IP's. Instead of a telephone number use different email accounts and put your auto-responder to work. Their servers are so secure, that nothing should be repetitive. Maybe some processes, but then even these will be in jeopardy of changing. It is such a hassle to do this manually I have to admit. First of all you have to activate every account within (I think) it is eight hours. But the most important thing for you to worry about is your white listed IP's. But Craigslist does work, I have made money of this site before.

No offense but you didn't answer his question at all...Yes craigslist is a great place to advertise, and I don't see how it could hurt you. However unless you know your stuff it may not be the easiest place right now to post, but do your homework and put in the man hours and you'll be fine.

A professional craigslist poster should not caused any negative impact on your business (if he knows what he is doing).

In regards to your concerns, there are many 'smart' ways to advertise your website/contact info, without exposing them to CL at all (or having MUCH less possibilities getting caught).

In regards to banning IP address, craigslist accounts etc., if you are hiring a poster, thats none of your concerns neither. The Craigslist poster will be posting with his IP and his accounts anyways. So even when it comes to banning, it wont affect you at all.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

what ways are you talking about? I've heard of of putting your business details inside an image, but if CL has manual reviewers then that could be a dangerous strategy.

    lol. Quick answer:

No CL does not have manual viewers.
Yes they will block your content if you over use it
Yes they will block/ban your links if you over use them.
Yes they will also block/ban your IP address/Phone number if you abuse or break there rules.

    Long answer:
If you want to post a large ad volume across the country then you need to do a lot of research, and spend some money here to get started, or you can hire someone who knows how to get the job done.

Either way it's not gonna be easy. 95% of the people who claim they can post adds for you are either looking to scam you, or are overstating there posting abilities drastically just to get you to pay for there services. Try and look for someone that has good references, and proven experience.

    Anyways... GOOD LUCK!

Thanks! Besides references is there any other way to check how good a CL poster is?
