can a chinese backlink be strong in GOOGs eyes ever?

Im just wondering because theyr country has different internet protocol and whatnot, and when i see a chinese backlink i automaticaly say yuck, just wondering if there is ever good chinese backlinks that will help rank in the US?:bubblegum

Sure, a Chinese link can be good if it's relevant and from a decent site. The problem is Chinese links are frequently associated with spam and so more often than not, a backlink profile with those links isn't going to do you any favors.

If you get a link from a chinese website with huge DA and PA and which does not link out that much, it means alot, because this will tell google that the writer is giving out your website as reference to her English audience
