Hey guys, I am new to to this forum I need some advice that I noticed my PPC campaign was doing well for a few days with good CTR and conversions, but suddenly performance dropped without any major changes from my side. Budget and targeting are same. Has anyone experienced this kind of fluctuation? What could be the reason and how do you handle it?

yeah it happens in PPC, sometimes ads stop performing even without changes, usually due to competition increase, audience fatigue or google auction shifts, best is to check search terms, refresh ad copy and monitor quality score regularly.
what do you think is the main reason in your case?

Yes, this is normal in PPC performance can drop due to ad fatigue, more competition, or quality score changes. I usually refresh creatives and adjust bids when this happens.

Yeah, this can happen. It could be due to increased competition, ad fatigue, or changes in the platform's algorithm. Try refreshing your ad creatives or adjusting bids. Keep monitoring and test different strategies.

I think sudden PPC drops usually happen because of auction changes or competitors increasing bids even if you did not change anything.
I usually check search terms, placements and audience fatigue first because most of the time it is either traffic quality shift or ad frequency getting too high.

Happened to me last week. I just created a new campaign with new Assets and my numbers are rocking!
Google Ads can be extremely profitable if setup correctly.

Performance fluctuations are common and usually stem from external auction dynamics (new competitors entering, increased bidding by others), ad fatigue (your creative losing freshness/relevance), or automated bid strategy recalibration as the platform adjusts to initial data. To handle this, avoid overreacting with manual edits, review the "Auction Insights" report to identify competitive pressure, and refresh your creatives if your frequency or CTR has dipped.

I’ve had stretches where everything looked steady on my end but the numbers still dipped out of nowhere. What helped me was checking auction insights day by day instead of weekly, since sudden competitor spikes can hide in those gaps. I also rotate in a fresh ad even if the old one still looks fine, just to keep things from going stale. Sometimes a tiny bid tweak wakes things up faster than a full overhaul.

Yeah, pretty normal especially with automated campaigns in Google Ads or Meta Ads. Could be algorithm re-learning, competition changes, or ad fatigue. I usually wait a few days, then check search terms audience and refresh creatives if needed.

I've seen instances where over-optimization can lead to a downturn in performance, so it's essential to strike a balance between tweaking and letting the campaign run its course. What I've noticed is that performance fluctuations often level out when you focus on refreshing your creatives and adjusting your bid strategy in tandem. The internal linking point is also crucial, as it can significantly impact your quality score and ad visibility. Refreshing your ad copy and landing pages can help mitigate ad fatigue and keep your campaign performing at its best. It's also worth noting that auction insights should be monitored daily, as sudden changes in competitor activity can greatly impact your campaign's performance.

Happens a lot. Algo tests then resets once data changes.

Also ad fatigue hits fast so same creatives stop working. Rotate ads and it usually picks up again.
