Campaign for gaming niche

Hey

im currently running a campaign for a gaming niche with quite alot of competition.

I was first starting off with " maximize clicks " and made some bid adjustments based on locations.

The results were good but the conversion rate was almost 0% after 5 days ( learning phase was over )...

I switched to Manual CPC and alos goot some negative keywords in the list... Google ads told me that the price per click for the relevant keywords to be placed on top will be 2-3$. which is very expensive but i tried it and had no success of getting orders.

i also noticed that 70% of the clicks came from display search with very low CPC i deactivated it.

I made so many campaigns in the past with high ROI but this time for this niche im completely lost.... never had this in my entire life that i cant get any conversion at all...

i made some analysis and one of the competition site got like 10 orders by today meanwhile i had only 1 today..

he is played 90% of the time on top of the google search

should i maybe pay 2-3$ per click and see what happens because even maximize conversion didnt even made any significant change
