I've been trying to figure out what position a video camera needs to be in for the hand-held/mobile demo type reviews. Ex, Brennans Tech Bite on YouTube. I watched a video that shows a setup for a table-top review but not sure if it's the same for hand-held reviews.

Table top reviews have the camera on the table and recording directly over top but some videos look like they're shot from another angle.

Is the camera over the shoulder and zoomed in??? Seeking clarity...Thanks

    Lalore,

I'm not sure exactly what it is you are asking but in general with filming, you kind of just have to experiment until you get the effect you are looking for. It sounds like you are talking about filming someone using a handset or something?

There are a couple things to keep in mind when capturing good film at an angle that shows off your subject. Positioning and lighting are very important. Experiment with those two things. Take some shots, get them into post production and see how they look. If you don't get the desired effect, try another angle or tweak lighting angles.

    Hope that helps,

    Shawn

    Thanks, Shawn.

Yes, I want to film myself using a handset. As if I was doing an app review. The camera is zoomed in really close on the handset and hand action. I'm going to try and figure it out. Thanks for the tips.

If you have catch something for example mobile phone etc. in you hand and want to record its view then it is batter that the camera should be on a desk or in your friend hand. The position of Camera should be relative to your hand.
