Call Center Vs SEO & Development Firm?

My Friend from India & I have agreed to do JV. I will invest 10k USD and he will Open a Call Center Or SEO & Development firm. Now Guys I need Suggestions:
A- Which Business Module Make More Money? Call Centres Make More Money Or SEO & Development Firm?
B- I have No Idea about Call Centre But My friend is Old in Field for Both, So I trust him with my money. Still What type of Legal Contract We can do?
C- He is giving me 40% as He will be doing Hiring, managing, My Part is IF I can get Some Inbound Contracts for Him(If We Open Call Center) or Local SEO & Redevelopment (if We Open SEO & Development Firm).
I read few threads here about Call Centre Work, and About Development Offices. So For Me, I need suggestions, as I am going to invest in this JV.

Note: It is Not BlackhatWorld JV, As he is my old Friend and That is why I ask here So He will not know about it.

Serious Suggestions help me Make Good ROI.

This is just a guess, but I think the SEO route requires a high degree of English proficiency. You cannot really do decent SEO without strong onpage and offpage content, and given that you will likely be after clients whose first language is English, I think it will be a tough sell.
Call centres can probably pivot pretty easily to take on clients from many industries. Unlike SEO, where you're looking for a certain type of client and then have to perform month after month to retain them, with a call centre, you aren't vulnerable to things like Google updates, etc. Also, you can manage numerous types of clients...you can be an answering service for physicians, a tech support for a small software designer, a virtual concierge for high net worth clients, etc.
Either way, good for you mate...I wish you all the best. Hopefully someone here who has experience in running a large organization like this in India can shed some more light on it for you.

I have Experience in Social media but Not have Call Centre Experience. So My problem is Simple, I am going to invest all my Savings for almost 2- years. What Experts with Running Cold Calling, or Call Centre Campaign Expert or People who Own a Call Centre will be able to suggest things?
Still Thanks for Feedback. You are Correct, With Call Centre I have More Chance to Earn Income but need more feedback.

Its extremely easier said than done, lot of variables.
Instead
LAUNCH a seo website.
Invest in Adsense, get projects get your friend to ensure projects are executed and taken care of.

SEO cold calling - hard.
SEO cold calling with an Indian accent - impossible.
 
The simple fact that you don't know what business you're going to get to means he has no experience in either. So practically he's going to gamble with your money to learn. Grab your cash and run away.
 
When I get confused I do both. Do the split testing IMO $10k is more than enough for both of them. Just do it one by one.

Basically, I already Earning From Adsense. The 10K Saving is from Amazon and as Amazon Account Got Banned Last Month, So Thought to Invest the Earnings in New Vendor. Yes I have no Experience with Call Centre. and He said he will be doing all work.
Still, I will have to get some Orders from my end to make It more working Vendor, So I need Ideas for How I can get Inbound Contracts? as I have Idea about Outbound, but he said Inbound More Reliable projects for Long term.

First, I know him from last 7 Years or even More. but Yes, you are Correct I have No Experience in field of Call Centre that is why I asked Experts of BHW, who have invested in Call Centre Campaigns, to give Ideas, that it is Good Business Module or Not? Some Suggestions will help me double the income.

Lastly, He can Open Both Call Center and SEO Firm at Single Place, as People can come in Night time in India to work as SEO & Development.
Last, If you are Smart I suggest you to Invest 10k to get Clients for Call Center and SEO & Development and Outsource Work to People who already Running SEO and Call Centers. As That will be easy for you. You will learn many things that way.

He already have Furniture and Office. He is Basically Investing in Tools, Promotions to get clients. Same thing you said. But safety here is that we are Becoming Partners and If I contact any call centre they will consider me as Client not Partner. Yes, I have got Plan. Main Purpose for asking You Guys here to get some More Suggestions that How i can be more Help for him to get Clients? Because in His Plan My part is Major my Investment and Monitoring Or taking Test Calls, and Taking Interviews of his Hired Teams. as am Native English Speaker and he is not.
So Guys If you can suggest what else I can do for him to get some Client by My own. or where I can learn How a Call Centre Operates and How to grow it? that can be Help for my investment.
