Ok, so I am promoting an affiliate product that is a free trial / rebill with a $100 payout. Now I am running an authority blog or rather building one that reviews the product along with other products and general articles.

I am trying to figure out how much I would need to make sales wise to hit $5,000 a month. So basic math would dictate I would need 2 qualified sales per day.

So what would be a fair estimate of a conversion rate? They go to my presale (review), then click to go to the product site (affiliate link), then do a free CC trial offer.

Would a 1% conversion ratio be a fair guestimate since they have to go through two pages? Has anyone done a similar site and know what kind of conversion rates they have? With my math, I would need a solid 6,000 unique a month (ack).

The affiliate manager said some people are doing 10+ sales per day with SEO only, although I see no evidence of such sites on Google for related keywords etc.

i have done tests on clickbank with 100+ visits daily (no presell, video sales page which was very nice and product worked because i had read it). I was still making 5-6 sales per week. Traffic was through long tail but still converted. I guess you will have to check yourself with this product. Do remember that the chances of any authority site getting hit by an algo is similar to a niche site.

It all depends on how much quality traffic you are bringing in. We cannot really say and you need to test this for yourself.
