Has anyone used this plugin over let's say w3 cache or wp rocket?

The first word I used in my answer in response to your question was 'yes'

I've installed, tweaked and tested about every caching and 'optimizing' plugin there is, including the obscure ones found in the wp repository on different websites I created.
WP Rocket always came out on top mostly because it has all the features in one plugin that you would need several other plugins for to get the same level of optimization. The issue with using different optimization plugins is that some conflict with each other and takes a lot of work to tweak and maintain without breaking stuff on your site.
The real trick though with optimizing a website is to analyze the waterfall chart and manually tweak stuff like adding specific external url's your site is calling and adding them one by one into the preconnect table, use DNS prefetching or adding the code for a live chat directly into your theme's functions.php.
Except for the last example, WP Rocket has those options, but you need to do it manually.

Yeah I use the waterfall via GTmetrix or Pingdom quite a bit I was just doing some research to better handle optimization of my sites and noticed the plugin be praised abit in some articles.
