.ca domain question

Being Canadian, a huge NOOB and having just been poking around I noticed that a major US recommendation site didn't have their dotCA registered, so I picked it up for the couple bucks it cost to register it.

Anyone have any thoughts? Complete waste of $4? Worth holding on to? Should I just throw up some ads and see if I get some misguided direct hits?
