Hey, i need a replacement for HttpWebRequest.

I know the best solution would be to do it myself but i just don't have the time for that, i need it right now.

I switched to php curl but i need multithreading.

    I already found this: http://www.chilkatsoft.com/HttpDotNet.asp
Has somebody used this or knows a better one?

It should support Https, Proxies, Socks4/5, the whole package...

chillkat can do what you need

you are still going to have to wrap it properly to get it to run on enough threads

I personally think sticking with just the framework is best.

I know HTTPRequest and Response are available, but I am looking for a HTTP component/class wrapper that I can plug straight into code with less hassle. The term component in the software industry is often used to refer to a reusable object that exposes one or more interfaces to clients in a standardized way.

Chillkat is one of the best libraries you can use when it comes to http automation. However, you will have to scale it to fit your demands.
