C Class SEO linking setup?

Hey in the process of purchasing C Class hosting, which i plan to build blogs which will link back to a 3 month old blog i currently have to boost link juice, and also target these C Class hosted blogs to tackle long tail keywords in a particular niche.

All the blogs and my main site are in the same niche, and the main site is hosted on hostgator with whois info available but i will make whois private for the blogs.

My question is, how would you go about linking. Could you simply use one way links and link the blogs on C class hosting, directly to the main site?

So there's no linking between the C Class hosted blogs, they are just linked directly to the man money making site.

Or will google easily figure this out and there are way better linking methods out there?

a linking strategy is a complicated thing to explain but I will take the simpler route and refer you to great post(s) by oldenstylehats.
