Byte (Vine 2.0)

Interesting how Tik Tok has taken off, causing Vine which was so popular a few years ago to fail on its return with Byte. Byte is american video hosting service while Tik Tok is chinese.

People are critizing Byte saying that there isn't good content on there. I think if Tik Tok wasn't around Byte would've been an instant success. Anyway do you guys think Byte, will ever take off? Maybe if there was movement with people exposing Tik Tok people would switch to Byte?

They took too long to bring their app back to life, tiktok took all the market share and here we are.

I like tiktok to be honest, it reminds me a lot of vine. The app is smooth, works well & overall feels good to use.

Bad timing I would say. TikTok occupies a similar space. If Byte can stick around until something 'goes wrong' with TikTok then we will see. Byte seems to be pretty monetization-centered so potentially people might get bored of not making any money on TikTok and move over. We will see.
