YOutube has this new content id system in which it actually scans the whole song/video and matches it with the ones stored in system. If its a match then video either gets blocked totally, or just in some countires.

Is there a way to defeat this shitty content ID system? I am trying to upload an education documentry on Youtube and its blocking the video everywhere except USA.

Someone has to find a way to defeat this thing!

ooo.. thats bad.. well is the video downloaded from youtube and are u trying to upload it back to youtube?? then i guess u have to do one tweak..

You have to edit the video data.. Am talking abt raw data.. i guess that shld do the fix..

Use audacity/similar program to change the pitch/tone of the audio.

Download and transcode video, best to do is to change resolution, change audio pitch for 5%.

Maybe speed up audio a bit too. If you go and search up a popular song and look at unofficial videos you will sometimes notice people complaining about how it sounds speed up. The uploader has to do it so that the content-id system doesn't take it down. People probably won't notice with a documentary though.

This hardly anything new, they have been doing this for years.

you don't have to change the pitch...

use Audacity to change the phase of either the left or right audio channel (invert it or shift it by a microsecond to the left or right)

it will fool the content ID system.
