Hello, I've recently gotten locked out of one of my important accounts, and I have an idea on how to try to fix it. But since I don't want to get myself into even more trouble, I'm asking here if you think it's a good idea. Firstly, I'm probably in a really shitty situation already as my profile picture was just some random internet photo (dumb, I know). But now I'm trying to find a way to unblock that account. Since I used a random picture, I don't have any other picture of that same person to work with. So I thought I'd try to use my phone to take a picture of my computer screen (more specifically, my current Fb profile picture on the screen), and then just upload that. Do you think it would work? If not, what would you suggest?

Do you have access to the image in question, have you done a google image search to find similar images?

Have you tried https://www.tineye.com to find similar images using a reverse image search?

Taking a picture of the screen is going to be obvious, its easier to just save the image from your FB profile and upload it if you're going to give it a shot.

If I understood you correctly, you have to provide the same image that you uploaded on Facebook, as a proof right?

So here is what I would do:
Save the image from facebook, open it in an image editor, change the brightness a little bit, save and upload.

And btw: forget about your idea.
