I thought about adding voice over on my Conspiracy theories channel , I have 7-8 videos. Should I delete it and start making videos with reused content but add my voice over ? On new videos?
It would certainly help since the youtube robot scan the video and try to understand the content of the video from the voice over especially if you need to be approved for monetization, that is a must.
Also, allow me to copy past a reply i made on another thread that could be helpful for you:
Some advices for you:
Creating videos:
1) At first, QUALITY over QUANTITY, if your videos are crap with bad audio, bad camera quality and bad editing with not enough interesting content, you will fail, easy as that.
2) Nowadays, people are subscribing to you not only for your content but also for your personality, so if you don't have a good personality with interesting content + good editing style, growing will be hard.
3) You really don't have to worry about the youtube algorithm at first, you need to find the right niche, the right mindset, the right style and stick to it, just make great videos basically.
4) Have an upload schedule and stick to it. No need to make 1-2 videos every single day if the final result is crap, just make 1-2 videos a week with quality content, just find which days/time of the day is performing the best and upload it at that particular time (a lot of testing is required of course)
Promote your content:
1) Once you've managed to find your style, one of the best way to promote your channel for free is reddit. Find your niche sub-reddit and post something and link it to your channel page/video. You could even spice things up a bit and use some blackhat techniques to help you rank in your chosen sub-reddit niche (search the marketplace for that).
2) Have your own website with the same domain name as the youtube channel name. Create a website/blog to promote your youtube channel/videos. Youtube don't like when people from youtube go to another website but it loves when people are coming from another website to youtube.
3) Don't forget that the most important things when uploading a video on youtube is : The title (just look up some tutorials ln how to create good titles), the thumbnail (a lil bit of clickbait don't hurt as long as this is good content), the description (try to write a +- 300 words description of the video) AND what you say in your video, basically in your video you need to say the majority of the keywords present in your title/description, this way the youtube robot will know what kind you videos you are making and put it in front of the right people (in theory...). Tags are almost useless don't worry too much about them.
4) One of the most overlooked but most powerful and easiest way of promoting your vdeo... : google adwords. Of course depending of your niche/kind of videos you make it may not be suited for advertising but if you find a good way to promote your channel without sounding like a idiot that tries to sell some snake oil, then it could work wonders for a pretty small price (this techique alone could bring you 1000 of subs in a few days if you make good content). Just look for some tutorial for this before doing it of course.
Monetization
1) adsense (duh!)
2) link to your website + adsense (not recommended but who am i to judge)
3) cpa offers
4) affiliate products (link to amazon affiliate for the materials you use in your videos like camera, microphone, pc, etc...)
5) Link to your shopify merch store
6) Once you have over 10k subs, direct integration with your teespring merch store.
7) Travel guide (look up david bond on youtube for an example of what he's doing)
8) Personalized offer (find something you re good at and sell it as a service)
Good luck !
