Finally more then a decade after Google released Page Rank for everyone, they are finally taking it back to their own secret. Google lays the Page Rank Score to rest. The sole reason why your wordpress got flooded with link spam comments..

"Google had positioned links as votes cast by the ?democratic nature of the web.? Link networks were the Super PACs of this election, where money could influence those votes."

Auuu, that happened like forever ago. Really in this business make sure your reading current information.
 
I think the only change is there going to shutdown the toolbar/api so if you check a url you wont even get page rank from the last time it was updated. This really should have been done 2 years ago when they decided not to update it anymore.

Even know PR is outdated metric to use, we can see it being used in almost every link building sales thread on this forum
