Sheesh, what's next? A small 'trustworthy' meter bar?
I can envision Google implementing these comments, and their googlebot with special algorithm that scans a website's authenticity/authority. Then a score bar will be shown beside each website in search results - green being trustworthy, yellow being cautious or 'unverifiable', and red being 'unreliable' or 'probably fake news'.
Next thing you know, competitors all going haywire attacking each other with negative comments.
Then Google will report even better earnings from their ad revenue as webmasters would rather pay Adwords.

From what I've read, Google will only be allowing comments on certain search results, such as sports and events.
They won't be allowing comments on each and every search result. That would be stupid.

Comments on search results? Sounds like the perfect way on how to manipulate the public opinion. Imagine you could just denunciate certain websites/search results.
Comments like "Be careful of fake news!!" or "so many conspiracy theories over there" etc.
I am sure it will be strictly reduced to live and sports events.
