imagine spamming links in comments on top SERPs for most searched terms and then upvoting to be shown on top (if they have upvoting/downvoting features of course...). MORE TRAFFIC! I feel Google might fuck up once again ...

Seriously, if they add this it's going to be a disaster. They can't even keep YouTube comments in check properly and there the owner of the video can delete the spammy comments. I'd imagine that the site owner can't delete the comments on the search results left for their site so there's no way they would be able to keep up with all the spam.
