Last night, during one of our usual crypto group chats, my friend Sameer dropped a bomb: “Guys, Bybit is shutting shop for Indian users. What do we do now?” It wasn’t just another news update, it hit differently because he’s been trading there for years. Sameer isn’t some big-time trader, but he knows his way around the market Atleast more than me lol. He’s the kind of guy who’s always sending us charts and tips, so for him to sound unsure about what to do next?

The group chat exploded with suggestions. One guy said Binance, another said Coinbase, and then someone threw in Bitget, calling it the “new underdog.” Well he wasn’t convinced about any of them. “Binance is too big to fail until it actually fails,” he joked. “And Coinbase? Do they even care about us here?” As for Bitget, he admitted it sounded interesting but wasn’t sure if he wanted to take a chance on something unfamiliar.

The conversation ended with no clear answers, just more questions. Honestly, it made me realize how uncertain the crypto space feels right now, especially for Indian traders.

I faced something similar here, when a lot of these guys couldn't operate because of the regulation issues, and even some of the ones that did, restricted access to P2P.

That's how I even found Bitget in the first place, because they were among the few to still operate and give us access to P2P, I've just stuck with them ever since.

Well, this is not end of the road. The crypto space is full of alternatives, it’s just about finding what clicks for your trading style. https://www.binance.com is still the top dog, but it’s always good to keep an eye on regulation drama. https://www.coinbase.com might feel a bit disconnected for Indian users, but it’s solid for simplicity. Platforms like https://www.bitget.com or https://www.kucoin.com could be worth exploring if you’re looking for something fresh but reliable. Diversify, do some trial runs with smaller amounts, and always keep tabs on platform policies. Uncertainty sucks, but it’s part of the game, you can adapt and keep moving! ;)
